The "Home" series continues my interest in the relationship between figures, abstract narratives and domestic life. The images and tone of the new paintings have changed over time, but remain as an expression of our everyday experiences. These images now come from nature, tree branches, leaves and shadows. Patterns founds around the home and garden. The paintings in this series are more open, not revealed thru layers and layers of paint and symbols. The elimination of color is an attempt to get back to basics. The combination of the composition and the use of just black and white paint create a more balanced and harmonious setting in these paintings.

As I have aged and developed and as the times have also changed, I no longer feel the need for hidden, revealed symbols. I now search for a simpler truth.
